USA (Lake Tahoe) High School English language plus Winter Sports

In the winter season, our carefully scheduled academic programme provides opportunities every day for students to ski or snowboard. Ski and snowboard classes, for all levels are available helping our students learn and practice their winter sports skills. Competitive athletes also have the option to join the USA Ski, Snowboard or Freestyle Team or other local competitive racing or freestyle teams at this location.

Because our school is located less than three kilometers from the base of the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, our Academy gives students immediate access to world-class skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, cross-country skiing, and a number of other mountainside activities.

The Squaw valley has six peaks of moderate to advanced terrain, three terrain parks, a Superpipe, an Olympic-size ice rink, and some of the deepest snow in the world! There are thirty-three lifts, including one of North America’s Funitels and an aerial Cable Car, lead skiers and riders onto 16,187 square km and 868 vertical meters of terrain. Annual snowfall at Squaw Valley USA averages 11 meters per year
