USA (Lake Tahoe) High School English Courses

Year long programme:

Both students from the United States and International students may apply to attend the English Language High School on a long-term basis or chose to attend the Summer School which combines academic credit with summer activities and adventures at and around Lake Tahoe. Our English Language High School combines academic credit with summer athlectics surrounding Lake Tahoe. Our Lake Tahoe. School is able to do this as we are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and all our courses approved by University of California, Berkeley. Students can attend the school on a long-term basis, to enhance their knowledge and study skills in specific subjects or earn credit for one semester or one full-year course,or attend our summer school.

Credits:   Our Lake Tahoe School has a curriculum that prepares students for the University of California system as all classes are approved by UC Berkeley. Each Lake Tahoe school graduate earns 240 credits and achieves college acceptance into an average of three colleges or universities. Students may receive dual high school and college credit recognized by the California State University and University of California schools by participating in the Academic Enrichment programs at a local community college. Fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Lake Tahoe School meets the California state standards for middle and high school students. Our faculty prepares students for the college of their choice by meeting the standards for the University of California system. Our graduates maintain 100% college acceptance rate into an average of three universities or colleges.

 

Summer School:

The English Language Summer School Students allows international and American students to attend ESL classes, improve their English skills and enjoy outdoor sports. The School campus is a very safe and located Sierra Nevada surrounded by natural beauty! Students attend daily tutoring sessions to enhance their knowledge and study skills in specific subjects or earn credit for one semester or one full-year course.

Every morning (Monday to Friday) students take academic lessons. Then in the afternoon, students participate in outdoor activities which may include hiking, mountain biking in the Sierra Nevada, swimming at Lake Tahoe, river rafting, rock climbing, and much more!

Courses will only be offered with a minimum of three students enrolled, Biology ,Chemistry , Physics , US Government & Economics, US History , World Geography , World History , Pre-Algebra Algebra, Geometry , Pre-Calculus , Middle School Language Arts , Creative Writing, English, Spanish, SAT Prep –Verbal , SAT Prep –Math, English as a Second Language , Studio Art , Music
