St. Petersburg ‘plus’ Volunteering (Orphanage/ Horse rehabilitation)

This course gives you the opportunity to learn Russian and volunteer with some of the most disadvantages children and animals in St. Petersburg. Why not give some of your time to leave lasting and positive results in either of our volunteering programmes.

Volunteer work with the orphanage involves carrying out psychological diagnostics and rehabilitation of children, organizing actions on physical rehabilitation of children, developing and creating programmes to help orphans and carrying out education and entertainment programmes. This programme is preferable for those with higher or incomplete higher medical, pedagogical or psychological education

Relevant experience of nursing children is desirable. For this unique opportunity in the children’s orphanage you will need results of the venereological and dermatological test, fluorography (examination for tuberculosis) and HIV test certificate.

Volunteer work in the horse rehabilitation centre involves helping staff with general care (monitoring temperatures and appetites, grooming, picking feet, checking legs, etc.) bathing and assisting veterinarians if required. Any other duties that may arise in the day to day running of a large equine facility. This Russian language and volunteer course is best suited to those with previous experiences with horses
