Siena Italian language plus Gastronomy
This special course is a great way to learn the beauty of the Italian language ‘plus’ the beauty of Italian flavours through Gastronomy. Siena Italian School has designed a course whereby you can learn the language in the morning and create and taste seasonal recipes and traditional Italian and Tuscany cooking. This joint programme will have you taste buds firing as you will be taught the art of creating fantastic meat, poultry dishes, torts and cakes in the winter months. The spring brings dishes of fresh vegetables and meat. Summer brings delicious fish recipes and during the fall, you can create chestnut, cabbage, mushroom and mouth-watering truffle dishes. Some of the dishes in the Italian and gastronomy combined course are from the Middle ages, but, if you prefer, you can chose to develop your skills with more modern dishes such as Pane, Pizza or Pasta. Perfecto! You will learn how to prepare a whopping 4 or 5 course meal: the antipasto, primo, secondo, contorno and dolce. All are part of what makes Italian gastronomy a healthy, wholesome and enjoyable way to eat.
