German ‘plus’ 50 +

Our German ‘plus’ 50+ programme is located in a small, idyllic German town known as Ellwangen. Ellwangen has a population of just 25,000. It is a peaceful town nestled within romantic and scenic landscape surrounded by countless, beautiful lakes. All the buildings of Ellwangen are unique and represent the various historical styles acting as a testimony to the town's 1,200 years of history. Slender, meandering alleys will lead you through some of the most picturesque parts of the old city center. You will stroll past beautiful plazas, small shops and street cafes. This elegant town of Ellwangen beckons all that visit to explore further, to discover and taste the German culture and history.

Our German ‘plus’ 50+ programme  is a two-week course of 25 lessons per week that specifically caters for individuals aged 50 and over to learn the German language and experiencing the culture. We run a  third week option that exclusively consists of cultural excursions to various areas of interest. Your German classes will take place in small groups of about 5 to 10 students in the morning. These class sizes are ideal for learning the language in a social content and everyone can contribute. Afternoons and weekends are filled with excursions and visits to noteworthy cultural sites and other places of interest. The excursions are a great and practical way to acquire and boost your knowledge of the German culture. You will be able to practice your new language schools in a  realistic and safe setting amongst your teachers and peers.

Accommodation is included as part of the course package. This unique programme is housed at the Schoenenberg Conference Center, which is a comfortable and well-maintained building with modern appointments providing the perfect setting for language instruction for our target group. The Center is located in a tranquil spot on a hill acting as a fantastic viewpoint of the city below. The city can easily be reached on foot also. You can chose a room with either one or two beds. All our room have all the amenities you may need including a private shower and toilet facilities. The German and over 50’s programme really is a treat for those who wish to learn the German language and have an insight into the rich cultural heritage.  Every day is a new mix of language, culture, culinary delights and activities.
