Quito can offer something for every type of traveller; you may wish to ride the cable-car to 4,600 to get stunning views of the city, visiting the local artisans in the Mariscal, walk through the slender, historical streets of the old town before stopping in a colonial-style restaurant for traditional highland food.  Perhaps between Spanish lessons in Quito you can relax with a fresh fruit juice or a local sweet treat in one of the many parks with their often, bizarre monuments. There is an up-market area in Quito with a fine selection of coffee shops, restaurants, cinemas, gymnasiums, theatres and bars. To the North of Quito there are lush hot-springs, The “Mitad De Mundo” (Middle of the Earth) equator line, traditional markets and forest trekking opportunities. The city of Quito is exciting and vibrant city with friendly locals who speak some of the clearest Latin American Spanish in the whole of South America!
