Our Langley School has been working with Canadian families in the local area since the International students programme began. We do our very best to select families who will provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming home so our students can learn the English language and experience Canadian Culture.

All students are mad e to feel like they are part of the family. We carefully screen our family host stays before they are allowed to host students. All families attend information sessions with the school and are given handbooks covering any issues that may arise.

They all provide a private bedroom with a desk, lamp and dresser. Three Canadian meals with suitable snacks in between are given. The families are 10-15 minutes walk from Langly English School and if they live any further away, then the host family will drive the student to school.

We do our very best to match students to an appropriate family. This is established during the application process. Before you go, Langley school will send pictures a students new home and family members.

We always ask for feedback from our students about their Canadian homestays and copies of these will be sent to the students family back home, so they can see how their child is fitting-in.

Students will benefit from the care and support of the family and will have great opportunities to practice their English language skills in real life settings. It is important that the student participates as much as possible in family life so they can get the best from this experience.
