Cairo is the capital city of Egypt and the largest city in North Africa. Cairo has ties to the Ancient Egyptian cultures due to its proximity to the Great Sphinx and the pyramids in Giza. Often Cairo is referred to as Egypt itself by those living in North Africa due to its powerful influence in the area. For instance, the city has the oldest film and music industries and the second oldest university in the Arab World.  In essence, Cairo is the perfect place to Study Arabic and explore Egypt’s history and culture at the same time.
