About Passport Language
Passport language is dedicated in helping you chose the correct and best language school you can possibly find. Here is a little history as to how we started:
“Annie” (director of Passport Language)
Annie was born in England and like many others, took language courses at school. It was only in the years to follow that she would realise the importance of those language classes. Annie spent much of her adult life travelling different continents. She covered large amounts of Europe, the South Pacific, Asia and now spends much of her time in South America. Most journeys revolved around climbing, biking, working, water sports, exploring and more importantly communicating with the native people.
So many of us wish to experience other ways of life across the world, take part in cultural activities, visit deserts, mountains, cities and places of cultural interest. But, how well equipped are we to do this without the basic knowledge underpinning other peoples’ languages systems? Clues to historical events, rules and traditions can be hidden in the symbols of language such as those in Arabic or Mandarin/Chinese. Stories are passed down from generation to generation through speech and language. A frown on some ones face can mean two completely different things when you listen and understand the dialogue that comes with it. As Annie travelled she realised what she was missing, hence, sought to understand other languages.
By setting up Passport Language she could help others do the same. Having attended and worked in language schools, she understands the difference a passionate teacher, innovative teaching methods, effective customer service and fun social activities can make to a students learning experience. She began Passport Language in 2009, and by choosing to work with only the World’s top language Schools (voted by STAR Awards), can almost guarantee that your chosen language programme will be of top quality. Maybe you need to master a language to improve your prospects at work or getting a Visa. Maybe you are planning to travel, go on vacation to or live in another country and want to feel more confident and meet friends abroad. Perhaps you are retired or just have the enthusiasm to learn another language. Whatever your reasons, give yourself the tools to understand another language, experience other ways and means of living and allow yourself a passport to experiencing the real world!
